MAF Test Requirements

General Expectations for Test Performance

All test applicants must be members of the Midwest Aikido Federation.
Demonstrate proper etiquette and good posture, movement and execution of techniques.
Be prepared to demonstrate each of the required techniques.
The examiner may ask for techniques that are not required.  Do the best you can and stay calm even if you can't do the requested technique.

2nd Dan Techniques (minimum of 1 year since 1st Dan with 200 days of practice)

All 1st Dan techniques

Futarigake (2 person attack)

3rd Dan Techniques (minimum of 2 years since 2nd Dan with 300 days of practice)

All 2nd Dan techniques
Tachi tori (bokken tori)
Taninzugake (multiple person attack)

4th Dan Techniques (minimum of 3 years since 3rd Dan with 400 days of practice)

Jiyuwaza for all of the techniques in previous tests
